Due to the increasing level of illegal hot taps and theft from pipelines i2i have developed a simple inspection tool that has been designed to be run with high frequency and limit the affect of syphoning and theft from pipelines. The Patrol pig is designed to be kept onsite on a permanent basis and be deployed by client technicians at high frequency (daily, bi-weekly if necessary). All data is analysed onsite using the Pipeception software that can direct security teams to the exact location within hours of tool recovery. i2i are currently running these tools in the UK & France.
